The Makers and Keepers of Singapore History is a project first conceived in 2007. It appeared as a bilingual special issue in the Tangent journal in June 2008.
In November that year, a symposium on the project was jointly organised by the Asia Research Institute of the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Heritage Society. Read the programme.
The present book, edited by Loh Kah Seng and Liew Kai Khiun, is expanded from the original Tangent contributions and commentary from the November symposium.
